Monroe County Community School Corporation, located in Bloomington, IN, 331 Niches ranks #1,939 out of 4,099 schools based on overall ratings. Users gave it an average rating of 3.8 stars out of 5.
For one, the teachers are great—for the most part. They're incredibly knowledgeable about what they teach, and they make sure to explain things in ways that help students understand.
A majority of the teachers are veterans who've been teaching here for decades. This helps instill a sense of trust among the kids, because they know that the teacher isn't just passing off information; he or she actually cares about helping students learn.
Students come from many different backgrounds and perspectives, and I learned a lot during my time at South. There's a high level of diversity, and it's reflected both in the student body and faculty.

Jackson Creek Middle School
Monroe County Community School Corporation, Indiana, 4 Niche users give it a rating of 4.5 out of 5 stars.
The best part about attending Jackson Creek Middle School was being able to make friends with people from different backgrounds. My favorite thing about the school was how welcoming everyone was. Everyone was friendly and willing to help each other succeed. Another reason why I loved Jackson Creek Middle School was because of the teachers. They were always willing to go above and beyond to help students learn.
I found that the teachers at Jackson Creek were very understanding and helpful. They knew what we needed to do better next time, and they didn't just tell us what we did wrong. Instead, they gave us suggestions on what we could try to improve.
My favorite subject was math. I learned how to use basic algebra and geometry concepts to solve problems. In addition, I liked learning about fractions and percentages. These subjects taught me how to think logically and how to apply those skills to real life situations.
Another thing I enjoyed about Jackson Creek Middle School was the sports teams. We played basketball every day after school and even went to tournaments. We also got to play softball during recess. I especially enjoyed playing baseball and football.
Overall, I am happy that I attended Jackson Creek Middle School. I feel like I grew up there and became a better person because of the positive experiences I had there.
